Event Highlights
PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, OCF, Chandigarh, celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2026, under the theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing'. The event was graced by Dushyant Kumar, Chief General Manager of OCF Chandigarh and Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC), and Ruby Chauhan as distinguished guests. Acharya Surinder from Yog Divya Ashram conducted the yoga session, guiding students and staff through various yoga asanas and breathing exercises.
Participation and Encouragement
The event witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and staff members. Principal K.S. Pathania, Vice-Principal Ravinder Kumar, and Headmaster Devender Kumar were present on the occasion and encouraged everyone to adopt yoga as a way of life for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The programme concluded with a pledge to incorporate yoga into daily routines and promote a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

The theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing' highlights the role of yoga in promoting healthy aging, emphasizing its benefits for physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional stability. The school's celebration aligns with the global observance of International Day of Yoga, which was first recognized by the United Nations in 2014.
