Kochi University Pioneers AI-Yoga Fusion for Stress Relief
Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) in Kochi has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative called PranaSense. This project uniquely blends ancient Yoga practices with modern artificial intelligence (AI). The university aims to address the escalating global issue of stress management through personalized technological solutions.
Partnership Drives Development of Innovative Device
CVV recently established a formal collaboration with Virtual Sense Global Technologies Pvt Ltd, based in Pune. Together, they are creating an AI-powered device. This tool will track a person's stress levels in real time. It will then recommend specific Pranayama breathing exercises based on individual physiological data.
Expert Team Bridges Tradition and Technology
The PranaSense project operates under the guidance of the IKS-CKS Centre with support from the Institute of Science and Technology. Renowned psychologist Ramesh Patni leads the effort. The research team includes distinguished experts like Dr Anand Hareendran and Dr Anupama Jims. Their work focuses on connecting traditional wellness methods with advanced digital diagnostics.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in holistic health. By integrating time-honored Yoga techniques with cutting-edge AI, CVV hopes to offer effective, personalized stress relief tools to people worldwide.
