Patna University Hosts Comprehensive Workshop on Meditation and Yoga

A one-day workshop focused on Meditation and Yoga was successfully organized in Patna, bringing together academic institutions and wellness experts to promote mental and physical well-being. The event was a collaborative effort between the postgraduate department of psychology at Patliputra University (PPU) and the department of psychology at A N College, with support from the Atman Jagrukta Kendra based in Chennai.

Leadership and Expert Sessions

The workshop was presided over by Arun Kumar Singh, the dean of the faculty of social sciences at PPU, who emphasized the importance of integrating such practices into daily life. A team of experts from Atman Jagrukta Kendra, including Priya TS, Pooja Parashar, Anupama Priyadarshini, Shubham Singh, Arya Vaishnavi, Prashant Kumar, and Prashant Thakur, delivered detailed sessions. They highlighted how meditation and yoga are crucial for achieving mental peace, life balance, and overall success.

During the practical sessions, participants were guided into deep meditative states, with experts providing hands-on experience in techniques such as Kundalini awakening. This interactive approach allowed attendees to directly engage with the methods discussed, enhancing their understanding and application.

Active Participation and Learning Outcomes

The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from PhD scholars and postgraduate students of PPU, who actively engaged in both theoretical and practical components. Participants gained valuable insights into the benefits of meditation, including stress reduction and improved focus. They also received detailed information on key energy centers like the Ajna Chakra and Mooladhara Chakra, which are integral to yoga practices for spiritual and physical harmony.

This educational initiative not only provided theoretical knowledge but also equipped attendees with practical skills to incorporate meditation and yoga into their daily routines, fostering long-term well-being.

Foundation Day Celebration at B D Public School

In a separate event, the alumni association of B D Public School in Buddha Colony celebrated its foundation day with great enthusiasm. The chief guest was Jawahar Lal, former vice-chancellor of Bhagalpur University, who has been associated with the school for 25 years. The program was inaugurated by Lal, along with school director Shiv Bihari Rai, principal Madhavi Kumari, and trustee members including Ajitabh Kumar, Madhusmita, Nidhi Singh, and Swati Katyayan.

On this occasion, the director and principal honored alumni with mementoes and bouquets, recognizing their achievements and contributions. Shiv Bihari Rai commended the alumni for their successes and extended wishes for a bright future. Alumni shared nostalgic experiences and reminisced about their school days, strengthening community bonds and celebrating the institution's legacy.
