Varanasi Gears Up for International Day of Yoga 2026 with Daily Practice Sessions
Varanasi Yoga Prep for 2026 Day Begins

Varanasi: In preparation for the International Day of Yoga 2026 on June 21, a regular yoga practice program has been launched at the Employee Club of Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) and the Shivanshi Fitness Zone. A significant number of BLW employees, their family members, and local residents are actively participating in this initiative.

Yoga Training Details

During the yoga sessions, participants receive training in various yoga postures (Asanas) and breathing exercises as per the common yoga protocol. This includes Pranayama, Bhujangasana, Tadasana, and Vajrasana. The regular classes are conducted by Bindu Singh, director of Shivanshi Fitness Zone, and Saroj Kumar, an employee of the Employee Club.

Objectives and Benefits

A BLW spokesperson stated that the goal of these programs is to raise public awareness about yoga and inspire more people to incorporate it into their daily routines. He emphasized that consistent yoga practice under the common yoga protocol not only strengthens physical health but also fosters mental peace and a positive outlook on life.
