A seven-day exhibition titled 'Bharat-Contour of Continuity' was inaugurated at Assam Royal Global University in collaboration with the Indian Museum under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to commemorate International Museum Day. First of Its Kind in the Northeast
Running until May 21, this exhibition represents the first time the Indian Museum has organized such a showcase in the northeastern region of India. Speaking at the inauguration, retired Assam Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar Krishna remarked, 'Museums are not merely buildings with objects. These are living bridges between the past, present, and the future.'
Highlights of the Exhibition
The exhibition features replicas of rare antiquities and artworks from the Indian Museum's extensive collections. Additionally, workshops on preventive conservation, numismatics, and epigraphy are being conducted to promote heritage awareness and academic engagement among the youth in the region.
