African Diplomats Seek Enhanced Partnership with Haryana in Key Sectors
In a significant diplomatic move, ambassadors and high commissioners from 21 African countries have actively sought to strengthen partnerships with Haryana across multiple critical sectors. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in skill development, entrepreneurship, industrial investment, agriculture, food processing, information technology, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
High-Level Meeting at Surajkund
The Haryana–Africa Strategic Partnership Meeting was held on Friday at Surajkund in Faridabad, where international representatives gathered to explore concrete cooperation opportunities. The diplomats expressed strong appreciation for the state government's progressive policies, advanced digital systems, and efficient industrial facilitation mechanisms. They conveyed confidence that these frameworks would support robust and mutually beneficial partnerships moving forward.
Government Assurance and Diplomatic Responses
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured the assembled representatives that the Haryana government is committed to extending full cooperation and support at every level to strengthen trade partnerships. Peter Sacks, the representative of South Africa, highlighted specific areas of interest for expanding cooperation. Sacks emphasized that joint initiatives in these domains would prove mutually beneficial, driving economic growth and development for both regions.
Anisa Kapufi, the High Commissioner of Tanzania, pointed to the already established and thriving partnerships between Haryana and Tanzania. She noted that farmers from Haryana are playing a leading and influential role in agriculture, trade, mining, manufacturing, and the plywood industry within Tanzania. Kapufi expressed optimism that the traditional cooperation between the two regions will continue to grow stronger in the future, with both sides firmly committed to developing new opportunities together.
