BJP President Engages EU Diplomats in New Delhi

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin met with mission heads from European Union member countries on Friday under the party's ongoing 'Know BJP' initiative. The interaction took place at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

Representatives from Slovakia, Romania, Portugal, Poland, the Netherlands, Ireland, and EU Ambassador to India Herve Delphin participated in the meeting, according to a BJP press release.

Initiative Aims to Build Diplomatic Familiarity

Ahead of the interaction, the BJP stated that the event was designed to familiarize the diplomatic community with the party's journey, ideology, organizational structure, governance model, and current activities. The 'Know BJP' initiative was launched by former BJP President JP Nadda on the party's 43rd foundation day in 2023.

During the meeting, Nitin Nabin shared insights into the BJP's evolution as the world's largest political party. He highlighted core ideological principles including cultural nationalism, Integral Humanism, and Antyodaya. He also emphasized how the party, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, has translated its ideals into people-centric governance, inclusive development, and democratic participation.

Earlier Engagements Under Know BJP

Earlier in June, Nepal's ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane visited the BJP headquarters to meet Nabin as part of the same initiative, aiming to strengthen cross-border political understanding.

In May, Nabin interacted with representatives from 12 countries under the 'Know BJP' initiative. According to an official release, heads of missions from Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam participated. That meeting was Nabin's first engagement with foreign envoys since becoming BJP National President.

Many attendees appreciated the initiative and shared personal experiences, offering suggestions for further engagement, the BJP release noted.
