Russia Dismisses US Claims on Greenland
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov firmly rejected charges from former US President Donald Trump. Trump had alleged that Greenland faces a looming threat from Russia and China. Lavrov stated that Russia has no interest in interfering with the Arctic island.
In his comments, Lavrov questioned Greenland's historical status. He pointed out that Greenland is not a natural part of Denmark. It was not naturally part of Norway either. Lavrov described it as a colonial conquest.
