US and Iran to Resume Technical Talks in Switzerland

Technical-level talks between the United States and Iran are scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Burgenstock, Switzerland, according to a statement from Pakistan's Foreign Ministry. The negotiations, which follow the digital signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will include mediators from Pakistan and Qatar.

The talks were originally planned to begin on Friday but were postponed amid ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. A press release from Pakistan's Foreign Ministry confirmed that representatives from the US and Iran, along with mediators from Pakistan and Qatar, will participate.

Pakistan Reaffirms Mediator Role

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry underscored the country's commitment to facilitating the negotiations. "Pakistan will continue to facilitate the process in its role as mediator, with a view to advancing the understandings reached under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding," the release stated.
