Deputy Commissioner Aparajita chaired a review meeting on Wednesday to assess the progress of Chief Minister's announcements for Kaithal district. According to the meeting, out of 405 announcements, 276 have been successfully completed, work is underway for 84 projects, 18 announcements have not yet started, and 27 have been deemed unfeasible.
DC Issues Show-Cause Notice for Delayed Judo Hall
Expressing concern over slow progress, the DC issued a show-cause notice to the District Sports Officer for the delay in initiating construction of the proposed Judo Hall in Songal village. She directed all officials to treat the CM's announcements with utmost seriousness and warned that negligence would not be tolerated.
Land Acquisition and Road Projects Reviewed
Regarding the proposed bypass from Cheeka City to Patiala road, the DC instructed officials to complete land acquisition verification at the earliest. She also asked the concerned department to coordinate with headquarters on renaming Pundri-Dhand Road as Guru Brahmanand Marg and ensure early resolution.
Infrastructure and Education Projects Under Scrutiny
The DC sought feedback on the proposed Women's College, water supply project, and drainage system in Dhanauri village. Officials reported that a revised map for the college had been requested, but the final drawing from the Architecture Department is still awaited.
CCTV Project and Other Initiatives
Reviewing the CCTV Camera project in Fatehpur Pundri, officials informed that tenders were opened on June 23, and the DC directed work to begin without delay. She also reviewed the construction of a hall and e-library at Dhanouri, Sanskrit University, LUVAS Centre at Keorak, and the road project from Guhla to Chanchak.
Field Monitoring Assigned
To verify ground-level progress, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Shivani Panchal has been assigned to conduct field visits and submit reports. The DC emphasized regular monitoring to ensure timely completion of all projects for public benefit.
