Ahmedabad Finalizes Arrangements for Sunday Elections

The Ahmedabad district administration has finalized all arrangements to ensure free, fair, and transparent voting for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), taluka panchayats, district panchayats, and local municipalities this Sunday.

EVM Logistics and Receiving Centres

A network of 28 receiving and dispatching centres has been established across the district to manage the logistics of electronic voting machines (EVMs). This includes 16 centres dedicated to the AMC area, nine for the district and taluka panchayats, and three for the municipalities.

Polling Stations Overview

Voting will take place at 4,257 polling stations in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation jurisdiction, 1,125 polling stations in the district and taluka panchayats, and a total of 132 polling stations for the three municipalities.

To manage the heavy turnout, over 30,000 personnel, including more than 27,000 dedicated polling staff, have been mobilized for election duty. District collector Sujit Kumar said, "The Ahmedabad district election administration has completed preparations at all levels. The district election administration is ready to ensure that voters can cast their votes in a free environment and that the entire process is completed peacefully."
