Mumbai: The bus stand in Baramati, located in the Pune division, has achieved the top position among 'A' category bus stands in Maharashtra. By implementing principles of cleanliness, discipline, and tidiness, it has been awarded a prize of Rs 1 crore under the 'Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Swachh, Sundar Bus Stand Abhiyan'.
Category-wise Winners
In the 'B' category, the Tiroda bus stand of the Bhandara division secured the first rank in the state. Meanwhile, the Akole bus stand of the Ahilyanagar division claimed the top spot in the 'C' category.
Total Prize Money and Ceremony
A total of 54 bus stands across the state that excelled in this campaign are set to receive prizes amounting to Rs 3 crore. The prize distribution ceremony is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on June 1, coinciding with the ST Corporation's 78th foundation day.
This initiative aims to promote cleanliness and better facilities at bus stands, encouraging healthy competition among divisions to improve public amenities.
