Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Inaugurates DDA Multi-Level Parking at Nehru Place
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a Delhi Development Authority (DDA) multi-level parking facility at the Nehru Place district centre on Monday. The event marked a significant step in addressing urban infrastructure challenges in the national capital.
Enhanced Coordination Drives Delhi's Development
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Gupta emphasized that Delhi's current development surge stems from improved coordination among various levels of government. She stated, "It was unfortunate that the previous government did not work with the Centre and the Lieutenant Governor. Now, Delhi is developing and getting cleaner due to this extensive coordination, starting from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the guidance of Lt Governor VK Saxena, the hard work of the Delhi government, and the dedication of our officials."
Gupta further highlighted the supportive role of Lt Governor VK Saxena, noting that his hands-on approach has facilitated numerous development projects. Saxena was present at the event, underscoring the collaborative effort.
Modern Parking Facility to Alleviate Urban Challenges
The newly inaugurated parking structure is a modern, six-floor facility developed at a cost of Rs 60 crore. It aims to tackle one of Delhi's most pressing issues: the scarcity of parking space. This project represents a proactive measure to enhance urban mobility and reduce congestion in the bustling Nehru Place area.
The initiative reflects the government's commitment to leveraging infrastructure improvements for broader city development, with a focus on cleanliness and efficiency.
