Addressing the media after the inauguration, CM Gupta highlighted that the newly commissioned sub-station has been constructed using the latest technological advancements and modern techniques. She emphasized that this facility will play a pivotal role in supplying power to various stations across the extensive Delhi Metro network, thereby moving towards a system with minimal electricity failures.
"I congratulate the Delhi Metro for establishing this Electric Receiving Sub Station here. It is built with cutting-edge technology and was completed within an impressive timeframe of 18 months. Our metro is now progressing towards eliminating power disruptions," stated CM Gupta during her interaction with reporters.

Following the inauguration, the Delhi Chief Minister chaired a comprehensive high-level review meeting at the Delhi Secretariat, focusing on the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The session delved into critical urban management issues, with a particular emphasis on solid waste management and the implementation of 100% waste segregation across the city.
The discussions extensively covered the development of Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants and the proper handling of construction and demolition (C&D) waste. Additionally, the meeting addressed several other key urban challenges, including:
- Road redevelopment projects to improve connectivity and safety.
- Dust control measures to combat air pollution.
- Ongoing flyover projects aimed at easing traffic congestion.

In a major financial commitment, the meeting resulted in the allocation of Rs 500 crore to enhance Delhi's sanitation system, underscoring the government's dedication to improving public health and urban cleanliness.
Collateral-Free Loans for Startups Announced
Earlier in the day, CM Gupta also addressed the significance of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Delhi government and the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). This agreement is designed to empower startup owners by enabling them to access collateral-free loans of up to Rs 10 lakh.
The Chief Minister elaborated on the benefits of this initiative, noting that it is expected to benefit more than one lakh individuals. Under this scheme, the central government will provide a substantial guarantee coverage ranging from 75% to 90%, with the state government covering the remaining portion. This collaborative effort aims to foster entrepreneurship and support small businesses in the national capital.
These initiatives collectively reflect the Delhi government's multifaceted approach to urban development, focusing on infrastructure modernization, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment for its residents.
