In a concerted effort to bolster the state's economic development, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has directed all government departments to intensify efforts in mobilising additional revenue in alignment with the current financial year's budget. This directive was issued during a high-level meeting of the 'Resource Mobilisation Cabinet Sub-Committee' held on Friday.

Key Directives and Measures

During the meeting, the Finance Minister underscored the critical need to eliminate revenue leakages and fully harness available resources to meet the budget targets for the fiscal year 2026–27. He mandated that all departments adhere to a strict timeline and instituted weekly review meetings every Friday to monitor progress.

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy called for stringent action against illegal activities that are detrimental to the state's financial health. Officials highlighted that revised market values for land registration will come into effect on May 28, a move expected to significantly boost revenues for the registration department. Additionally, it was confirmed that the 'HILT Policy Guidelines' for the Industries department have been finalised, with official orders to be issued shortly.
