Dhanbad Railways Celebrates International Women's Day with All-Female Train Operation

In a landmark initiative marking International Women's Day, the Dhanbad railway division on Sunday entrusted women with pivotal operational responsibilities across its network. The highlight was the complete operation of the Dhanbad-Sindri Town passenger train by an all-women team, underscoring their expanding role in railway functions.

Comprehensive Women-Led Operations

Women personnel took charge of the train's operation during both the departure and return journeys in the afternoon. From ticket checking to ensuring passenger safety, female railway employees managed major duties throughout the day, demonstrating efficiency and capability.

Security and ticketing were also handled exclusively by women. Women personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) managed security arrangements along the route, while ticket inspections were conducted solely by female staff. At Dhanbad railway station, women were deployed at all counters of the general ticket booking office, facilitating smooth ticket issuance for passengers.
