Indore Municipal Corporation's (IMC) joint team of fire department and building permission branch conducted inspections at multiple commercial and educational complexes in Zone 10 on Saturday. The team sealed several establishments for non-functional fire-fighting equipment and blocked emergency exits.
Sealed Establishments
The sealed premises include SK Gym, Nafees restaurant, Robotwala Coaching, AI & Robotics Coaching, Gyanam Coaching, Apollo Arcade, and Apollo Avenue. These actions were part of the ongoing summer safety drive.
Total Sealings Reach 102
IMC additional commissioner Prakhar Singh confirmed that total sealings under the summer safety drive have reached 102 buildings. The civic body has also penalized 69 property owners so far, with a cumulative fine of Rs 1,96,000 for failing to install rainwater harvesting structures despite receiving statutory warnings.
The drive aims to ensure compliance with fire safety norms and other regulations to prevent accidents during the summer months. Authorities have warned of further action against violators.
