Ludhiana LPG Control Room Addresses Supply Issues with High Resolution Rate
The district administration in Ludhiana has launched a dedicated LPG control room to tackle supply disruptions, receiving positive feedback for its efficient grievance redressal system. This initiative is designed to guarantee uninterrupted LPG availability for households, industries, and essential services throughout the district.
Swift Action on Complaints and Requests
Officials report that the control room has already handled 161 complaints, queries, and requests, with an impressive 148 cases resolved promptly. Only 13 remain under active process, demonstrating the facility's commitment to timely solutions.
Key sectors including industries, hospitals, schools, restaurants, and dhabas have submitted 78 requests, all of which have been addressed. This proactive approach has helped prevent potential shortages and ensured the continuity of essential operations across Ludhiana.
Nodal Officers and Operational Details
Assistant Food Supply Officers from the East and West zones have been appointed as nodal officers, overseeing the daily functioning of the control room. District Food and Supplies Controller Sartaj Singh Cheema emphasized that the facility, located at the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (Glada) office, is dedicated to resolving all complaints and requests efficiently.
"All commercial and industrial LPG requests are being received and, as per government allocation directions, cylinders — whether commercial or industrial — are being supplied," Cheema stated. He added that complaints regarding non-delivery of cylinders after bookings are also being tackled and resolved effectively.
Committee Formation and Coordination Efforts
On March 30, the deputy commissioner established a district-level committee led by the additional chief administrator of Glada. This committee monitors and supervises LPG distribution to ensure compliance with official directives.
The grievance redressal control room at the Glada office serves as a coordination center, collaborating closely with gas agencies and oil marketing companies to maintain adequate LPG supplies. It operates daily from 9 am to 5:30 pm, providing a reliable point of contact for stakeholders.
How to Access the Control Room
Residents and businesses in Ludhiana are encouraged to utilize this facility for any LPG-related issues. Assistance is available through the helpline number 9915155072. District officials have urged all stakeholders to make use of this resource to ensure smooth LPG distribution and address concerns promptly.
Cheema confirmed that all requests, whether routed through the deputy commissioner's office or received directly, are being addressed without delay. This integrated approach aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in LPG supply management across the district.
