The Aadhaar Seva Kendra is situated in a central area of Dimapur, making it accessible for residents from across the district. According to UIDAI officials, the centre offers a range of services including new Aadhaar enrollment, update of demographic details such as name, address, and date of birth, as well as biometric updates for fingerprints and iris scans. The facility aims to reduce the dependency on temporary camps and provide a permanent, high-quality service point.

Previously, residents of Nagaland had to travel to other states or rely on mobile enrollment vans for Aadhaar services. The new centre is expected to serve thousands of applicants annually, with a capacity to handle over 500 enrollments and updates per day. A local resident, T. Imti, stated, "This centre is a great relief for us. We no longer need to wait for camps or travel far for Aadhaar updates." The centre operates from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays, and appointments can be booked online via the UIDAI portal.
