More than 10,800 candidates will appear for the NEET (UG) retest across 23 centres in Noida and Greater Noida on Sunday, with the district administration and police implementing stringent security measures to ensure a fair and transparent examination.
Background and Registration Details
The retest follows the cancellation of the May 3 examination amid allegations of a question paper leak. A total of 10,822 candidates are registered across the 23 designated centres. The examination will be held from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. In Ghaziabad, the examination will be conducted across 22 centres.
Security Arrangements
Joint commissioner of police Rajiv Narayan Mishra stated that five centres fall under the Noida zone, 11 under the Central Noida zone and seven under the Greater Noida zone. “Security personnel have been instructed to conduct thorough checks of candidates before entry,” he said. Candidates will undergo identity verification, frisking and screening before entering examination halls. Police personnel will be deployed at entry and exit points, with additional security at sensitive locations. All centres will be under CCTV surveillance.
Legal and Traffic Measures
Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita have been imposed to maintain peace during the examination. Special traffic arrangements have been made around metro stations, bus terminals and major roads to ensure candidates reach their centres without disruption.

Centre superintendents have been appointed and briefed on examination procedures and security protocols. Major centres in Noida include Govt Girls Inter College Sector-12, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shri Agrasen Adarsh Inter College, Jawahar Vidyalaya, Janta Inter College, CRS Girls Inter College, Mihir Bhoj PG College, Shri Gandhi Inter College, Vedic Kanya Inter College, Bhawani Shankar Inter College, Bihari Lal Inter College, Saint Vinoba Inter College, Bharatiya Adarsh Inter College, Kumari Mayawati Govt Girls Inter College, Shri Amichand Inter College, Kendriya Vidyalaya Greater Noida, Chaudhary Kesh Ram Inter College and Kendriya Vidyalaya CISF.
