Rewari Administration Enlists Self-Help Groups for Voter Awareness Campaign
Rewari SHGs Drive Voter Awareness for SIR-2026

The Rewari district administration has mobilized self-help groups (SHGs) to raise awareness among villagers, particularly women, about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign for electoral rolls. This initiative aims to ensure every eligible citizen is registered to vote.

Awareness Programs Across Villages

Under the guidance of Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Modi, awareness programs themed “Empowered Women, Empowered Voters – The Foundation of a Strong Democracy” were conducted in Kalka, Rajgarh, Dulhera Khurd, Suthana, and Maheshwari villages. These sessions focused on the electoral roll revision process, voter registration, and democratic rights.

Training Under HSRLM

Through the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission (HSRLM), SHG members received detailed briefings on the significance of SIR-2026. They learned procedures for enrolling eligible voters, correcting errors in electoral rolls, and registering new voters. Officials stressed that including every eligible citizen in electoral rolls is vital for strengthening democracy.
