Trichy District Administration Convenes Stakeholders for Vision Plan 2030 Under 'En Oor En Kanavu' Scheme
In a significant step towards shaping the future of Trichy district, a consultative meeting was organized on Saturday as part of the state government's 'En Oor En Kanavu' initiative. The event, held at Kalaiarangam in Trichy, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to provide valuable inputs for the development of a comprehensive 'Vision Plan 2030'. This plan aims to serve as a strategic blueprint for the district's progress over the next several years.

The meeting was inaugurated by School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, underscoring the importance of this collaborative effort. District Collector V. Saravanan chaired the proceedings, ensuring a structured and productive dialogue. This new vision plan builds upon previous efforts, notably the 'Vision Trichy' document prepared in 2022 under the leadership of then Collector M Pradeep Kumar. That document outlined goals to enhance drinking water supply, road infrastructure, and solid waste management in the city and other local bodies. It served as a practical guide for formulating new schemes and projects aimed at improving basic amenities and public infrastructure.
In the updated Vision Plan 2030, the administration is incorporating recent changes and emerging requirements, aligning with the broader objectives of the 'En Oor En Kanavu' scheme. This ensures that the plan remains relevant and responsive to current needs while setting a forward-looking agenda.
Compilation and Submission of the Vision Document
The opinions and suggestions gathered from experts are now being compiled into a comprehensive document. According to the district administration, the final version is expected to run into about 100 pages and will be submitted to the government next week. This vision document will form the basis for planning and implementing the district's development initiatives over the coming four years, providing a clear roadmap for sustained progress.
