Special Drives and Enforcement Actions

VMC chief HM Dhyanachandra stated that the civic body has launched special drives across three circles to recover arrears of property tax, vacant land tax, water tax, and drainage tax. As part of these drives, officials have pasted seizure notices on properties of defaulters in I Town and Bhavanipuram under Circle-1, and in Sitarampuram under Circle-II.

In addition, water and drainage connections have been disconnected in Ajit Singh Nagar under Circle-II for non-payment of dues. These measures are part of a broader strategy to compel compliance and boost revenue collection before the financial year ends.

The intensified efforts underscore the VMC's commitment to improving fiscal health and ensuring that all taxpayers fulfill their obligations. With the deadline looming, officials are focusing on maximizing recoveries to meet their revenue targets.
