The operations, conducted by the Division 8 police station, led to the recovery of heroin and a substantial quantity of an intoxicant powder.
First Raid Nets Heroin and Two Arrests
The police action unfolded with a raid based on specific intelligence. A team from Division 8 police station intercepted a car. During a thorough search of the vehicle, the officials discovered 10 grams of heroin in the possession of the occupants.
Following the seizure, the police took two men into custody. The arrested individuals have been identified as Jaswinder Singh, alias Jassa, and Gagandeep Singh, alias Gagan. Both are residents of Ludhiana. Authorities have registered a case against them under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act and have launched a further investigation to uncover their supply chain and potential links to larger networks.
Second Case Reveals Large Quantity of Intoxicant Powder
In a parallel and simultaneous operation, the Division 8 police team made another breakthrough. In this separate case, the police arrested a third individual and recovered a significant haul of an illicit substance.
The police confiscated 520 grams of an intoxicant powder from the accused. The arrested person in this case has been named as Rajan, who also hails from Ludhiana. A distinct case under the NDPS Act has been filed against Rajan, and police are probing the intended use and distribution network of the seized powder.
