A Delhi court on Tuesday sent the man accused of killing an IRS officer's daughter to seven-day judicial custody. The accused, identified as Amit, was produced before the court of Additional Sessions Judge after his arrest in connection with the murder case.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, was found dead in her apartment in south Delhi's Vasant Kunj area on Monday. She was the daughter of an IRS officer. The accused, who was known to the victim, was arrested on Tuesday from a hideout in Uttar Pradesh.
During the court proceedings, the prosecution sought custody of the accused for further investigation, stating that his custodial interrogation was required to recover the weapon of offence and other evidence. However, the court remanded him to judicial custody, noting that the police had not sought his police custody.
