Tragic Fog Crash Claims Life of Bihar Migrant Worker in Barnala
A devastating road accident occurred on Sunday morning amid thick fog near Barnala. A private transport company bus violently struck a motorbike from behind on the Barnala-Bajakhana road. The collision proved fatal for one rider while leaving another seriously injured.
Victim Identified as Young Father from Bihar
Emergency responders rushed both injured motorcyclists to Barnala Civil Hospital. Medical staff pronounced 31-year-old Kapil Yadav dead upon arrival. Yadav originally hailed from Araria district in Bihar and worked as a migrant laborer in Punjab.
The young father leaves behind a grieving family including his wife, a young daughter, and two sons. The pillion rider sustained significant injuries but remains under medical care. Hospital authorities confirm the injured survivor is receiving treatment for multiple trauma wounds.
Police Impound Bus and Launch Investigation
Barnala police immediately responded to the accident scene. Authorities have seized the involved bus as evidence. Inquiry officer ASI Gursimran Singh confirmed the vehicle impoundment.
"We have taken the bus into custody for examination," stated ASI Singh. "Our investigation team is working to determine the exact sequence of events that led to this tragedy."
Police officials noted the dense fog conditions likely contributed to reduced visibility. However, they emphasize the investigation will examine all factors including vehicle speed, driver attention, and road conditions.
