Police Investigate Gang Rivalry Motive

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Narendra Singh Devda stated that preliminary investigations indicate the motive was an old rivalry. Police have identified the accused, detained one suspect for questioning, and formed teams from three police stations to conduct raids to arrest the remaining attackers. Security has been tightened in the area to prevent further tension. Police suspect the attackers are linked to the Montu Kandara gang, and the assault is believed to be retaliation for a violent clash between the rival groups about two months ago.

Political Reaction to Law and Order Situation

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot criticized the state government over law and order, posting on X that the attack demonstrates growing criminal fearlessness and called for immediate steps to restore public confidence in policing.
