Arrest and Seizure Details
Chandigarh Police have arrested three operatives linked to gangster Goldy Dhillon, recovering two pistols and nine live bullets from their possession. The suspects have been identified as Happy Chib, 20, Rahul Kumar, 24, and Vansh Sharma, 19, all residents of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Operation Led by Crime Branch
SP Crime Manjeet Singh Sheoran stated that a joint team of the operation cell, while on patrol, received intelligence about three Goldy Dhillon gang members moving on motorcycles in Chandigarh. The accused were reportedly carrying automatic pistols and intended to commit a crime on Dhillon's instructions, entering the city from Mullanpur. Police set up a trap and intercepted the suspects after a brief chase.
Recovered Weapons
According to police, a pistol and two bullets were seized from Happy Chib. An additional sophisticated pistol and two live bullets were recovered from Rahul Kumar, while five bullets were taken from Vansh Sharma.
Background of the Accused
Police revealed that Happy Chib worked in a scrap factory in Bari Brahmana and had been arrested multiple times by Jammu Police. Rahul Kumar, formerly employed at a clothing store in Vijaypur, became involved in criminal activities and connected with Goldy Dhillon; he has two criminal cases registered by Jammu Police. Vansh Sharma, who assisted his father in selling vegetables, has four criminal cases filed against him by Jammu Police.
