Laxmi Nagar Gym Dispute Turns Violent: Man Beaten, Wife Molested, Son Stripped
Delhi Gym Dispute: Family Assaulted, Son Stripped Naked

A business dispute over a gym operating from a residential basement in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar spiraled into a horrific public assault, leaving a family traumatized. The incident, which occurred on January 2, saw a man brutally beaten, his wife allegedly molested, and their son stripped naked and assaulted on the street, police confirmed.

Dispute Over Gym Management Escalates

According to the police complaint filed by Rajesh Garg, the owner of the house and gym, the conflict began with the gym's caretaker, Satish Yadav. Garg alleged that Yadav cheated him and tried to usurp control of the business, leading to simmering tensions. The situation exploded on the afternoon of January 2, around 3:00-3:30 PM, when Garg and his wife went to the basement to inspect a water leakage issue.

Satish Yadav, accompanied by several other men, allegedly followed them inside. A heated argument broke out, which quickly turned violent. The men reportedly began punching and kicking Rajesh Garg. In a deeply disturbing turn of events, Garg further alleged that his wife was molested by the assailants during the confrontation.

Son Dragged to Street, Stripped and Beaten

The violence did not end there. Hearing the commotion, the couple's son rushed downstairs. The accused men then allegedly caught hold of him, dragged him out of the house, and onto the public street. In a blatant act of humiliation and violence, they stripped him naked and beat him in full public view.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the area captured the entire gruesome episode. The footage, which has since been widely circulated on social media, shows a group of four to five men physically assaulting the naked man, kicking him repeatedly. The assault only ceased when police officers arrived at the spot.

Family's Trauma and Police Action

Speaking to reporters, a distraught Rajesh Garg described the ordeal. "They tore my clothes and kept punching me in the face," he said. He expressed anguish over his son's condition, revealing, "My son’s wedding is in 10 days. He was beaten badly. I saw him lying on the road." Garg added that both his sons have left home after the incident and switched off their phones, leaving the family anxious about their whereabouts.

The victim's mother gave a harrowing account, stating that by the time she ran to the police station and returned with help, her son had already been dragged to the middle of the road and assaulted. She posed a poignant question: "The way he was stripped and dragged—is this less than any form of rape?"

Based on the detailed complaint, the Laxmi Nagar police station registered a case under multiple stringent sections of the newly implemented Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The charges include voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint, criminal trespass, assault or use of criminal force to outrage a woman's modesty, and criminal intimidation.

Police officials confirmed that the main accused, Satish Yadav, has been arrested. A manhunt is underway to apprehend the three other accomplices who are currently absconding. The seized CCTV footage is being thoroughly examined to establish the precise sequence of events and identify all perpetrators involved in this shocking crime.
