Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood conducted a review of the NEET-UG re-examination preparations at a government school in central Delhi on Saturday, June 21, 2026. During his visit to CM Shri School at Pandara Road, Sood inspected the examination centre facilities alongside senior officials from the Education Department and the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
Minister assures smooth and stress-free experience
Sood stated that extensive arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for both students and their families. He emphasized that the Union Ministry of Education, in coordination with the Delhi Government, has implemented comprehensive measures across the Capital for the seamless conduct of the examination.
The minister highlighted that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is personally monitoring the preparations and has directed all relevant departments to ensure that candidates and their families face no inconvenience. This includes logistical support, crowd management, and availability of essential amenities at examination centres.
Inspection details at CM Shri School
During the visit, Sood examined the infrastructure, seating arrangements, and security protocols at the Pandara Road centre. He interacted with school staff and officials to verify that all guidelines from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Education Ministry are being followed. The SDM present briefed the minister on local arrangements, including traffic management and emergency services.
The NEET-UG re-examination is being conducted following a directive from the Supreme Court after irregularities were reported in the earlier exam. The Delhi Government has identified multiple centres across the city, with CM Shri School being one of the key venues.
Government's commitment to student wellbeing
Sood reiterated the Delhi Government's commitment to student wellbeing, stating that all necessary steps are being taken to maintain the integrity of the examination process while providing a supportive environment. He also urged students to remain calm and focus on their preparation, assuring them of full administrative support.
The Education Department has set up helplines and information desks at each centre to assist candidates. Officials have been instructed to be available from early morning until the conclusion of the exam to address any issues promptly.
This review is part of a broader effort by the Delhi Government to ensure that the NEET re-exam is conducted without any glitches, reflecting the priority given to education and student welfare in the capital.
