Security forces across the national capital have escalated their alert status in preparation for the upcoming 77th Republic Day celebrations. As part of this intensified security protocol, authorities have extensively distributed updated wanted posters throughout Delhi's metro stations and major market areas. These posters prominently feature high-profile terrorists identified as significant threats to national security during this sensitive period.
Khalistani Terror Figures Dominate Most Wanted List
The updated posters place particular emphasis on Arshdeep Singh, who operates under the alias Arsh Dala. Intelligence agencies identify him as the current chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force. His prominent positioning on these security bulletins reflects the serious danger posed by his transnational terror-gangster network.
Dala originally began his criminal career as a local gangster before evolving into a primary operative for the Khalistani outfit. He assumed leadership of the organization following the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed during a local dispute in Canada in June 2023. Indian intelligence agencies recognize Dala as the mastermind behind multiple targeted attacks specifically designed to provoke communal instability across the country.
One particularly disturbing operation attributed to Dala involved the 2022 murder of a Hindu man in Delhi. Investigators determined that Dala's associates, Naushad and Jagga, specifically selected this victim because he displayed a Shiva-and-trident tattoo on his body. While Dala currently operates from Canada, where he was recently involved in a shootout incident, Indian security agencies are actively pursuing his network to prevent any potential disruptions during national celebrations.
Additional Khalistani Operatives Targeted
The wanted list extends beyond Dala to include other veteran pro-Khalistan figures who continue their activities from foreign soil. The posters prominently feature:
- Ranjeet Singh Neeta: Chief of the Khalistan Zindabad Force with a documented history of coordinating arms smuggling operations and cross-border militant activities.
- Paramjeet Singh Pamma: Known for providing logistical support and financial backing to various separatist activities.
By displaying these individuals alongside Dala, Delhi Police officials are clearly communicating their zero-tolerance approach toward what they term the 'K-Terror' threat. This network actively seeks to revive militant activities through external funding sources and systematic radicalization efforts.
Jihadi Elements Also Under Security Scanner
Simultaneously, the enhanced security grid focuses on neutralizing jihadi elements featured on the new posters. These include:
- Sharjeel Akhtar: Hailing from Deepa Sarai in Sambhal, wanted in connection with terrorist activities.
- Mohammed Rehan: From northeast Delhi's Chauhan Bangar area, sought in a case involving an Islamic State module.
- Mohammed Abu Sufyan: Associated with al-Qaida operations, originally from Jharkhand's Chatra district.
Sufyan's background reveals a concerning trajectory. He initially received training at a madrasa in Jamshedpur back in 2012 before traveling to Pakistan. After subsequent movements through Nepal, he returned to India in March 2015. During this period, he met Maulana Abdul Rehman and began actively recruiting cadres for AQIS (al Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent).
Notably, Sufyan has never been arrested by Indian authorities. Intelligence agencies currently believe he operates from either Afghanistan or Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, where he serves as a top member of AQIS. His primary activities involve recruiting and training young individuals for operations that include establishing sleeper cells within Indian territory.
The comprehensive security measures and widespread distribution of these wanted posters demonstrate the multi-pronged approach authorities are implementing to ensure peaceful Republic Day celebrations. Security personnel remain particularly vigilant against both Khalistani and jihadi elements who might attempt to exploit the high-profile national event for their objectives.
