The body of a 35-year-old farmer, Rajendra Singh Dangi, was discovered under suspicious circumstances in his field in Kothdi village, located in the Tal police station area of Ratlam district, on Saturday morning. Police have launched a murder investigation after finding the blood-soaked corpse with multiple injury marks.
Discovery of the Body
According to family members, Rajendra left his home on Friday night to work in his field, which was his usual routine. When he did not return late that night, relatives assumed he had stayed at the farm due to pending work. However, after he failed to return by Saturday morning, family members went to search for him. They found Rajendra lying dead in a pool of blood, with visible injury marks and blood stains spread across the area.
Police Response and Investigation
After being informed, Tal police station in-charge Swaraj Dabi arrived at the scene with a police team and conducted a thorough search of the area. Police also questioned family members and nearby residents to gather information. The body has been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Dabi stated that they are in the process of recording statements from the family members, after which further details will become clear. Police are examining all possible angles, including personal enmity or robbery, as part of the investigation.
