A tragic road accident in Nerwa, Shimla district, claimed the lives of a father and his 12-year-old daughter on Tuesday morning. The victims were identified as Lokinder Dhanaik (42) and his daughter Tiya, residents of Khoka village.

The incident occurred around 6 am near Bavi Kainchi when Dhanaik was reversing his car and lost control, causing the vehicle to plunge into a deep gorge. Both occupants died on the spot, according to police.

Witnesses and Rescue Operation

Dhanaik's wife and son, who were waiting nearby, witnessed the accident. A police team arrived shortly after receiving the information and recovered the bodies from the gorge.
