Goa Casino Job Trip Ends in Tragedy After Fatal Altercation Over Video Call

A planned job trip for four friends to a casino in Goa took a horrifying turn, resulting in the alleged murder of one member by the other three. The violent incident was reportedly triggered by a sexual remark made during a video call with one friend's wife on Saturday morning.

Details of the Fatal Confrontation

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Rajbhar Ramdasbhai, a resident of Surat. He had traveled to Goa with three friends just two days prior to begin employment at a casino located in Candolim. According to police statements, the situation escalated when one of the friends was engaged in a video call with his spouse.

"During the video conversation, Ramdasbhai passed a comment and expressed a desire to see the wife on the call," explained Superintendent of Police (North) Harish Madkaikar. This remark ignited a heated argument within the guest house where the group was staying, quickly devolving into a physical scuffle.

Fearing further assault, Ramdasbhai fled the guest house premises. He was pursued by his three friends in a desperate chase. "He ran for his life to a resort directly opposite the guest house, where he was ultimately chased down and stabbed," stated SP Vishwesh Karpe. The attack occurred at approximately 6:00 AM on Saturday.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Following the assault, all three accused individuals fled the scene in separate directions. Law enforcement officials have been actively working to trace the remaining suspects. The initial investigation was launched based on a complaint filed by a representative of the Calangute resort.

"We registered an FIR against unknown persons and commenced our investigation," a police official noted. The resort representative reported hearing noise and witnessing a guard running; upon investigation, he discovered the incident.

Goa police successfully identified the individuals involved and apprehended the primary accused. "We have arrested 28-year-old Komal Baraskar, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, from Vasco," confirmed SP Madkaikar. Baraskar was attempting to board a train when he was captured by authorities.

Aftermath and Legal Proceedings

Ramdasbhai was rushed to a medical facility but was declared dead upon arrival. The case highlights a sudden eruption of violence among acquaintances, transforming a professional opportunity into a lethal confrontation. Police continue their search for the two remaining suspects involved in the chase and stabbing.

The incident serves as a grim reminder of how quickly disputes can escalate, with tragic consequences. The Goa police department is pursuing all leads to ensure all individuals responsible are brought to justice under the full extent of the law.
