A court in Hisar has sentenced a youth to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor. Along with the prison term, the court imposed a fine of Rs 1.41 lakh on the convict.

Additional Sessions Judge Sunil Jindal, while delivering the verdict, observed that sexual offences against children are extremely alarming for society. He emphasized that strict punishment is necessary to deter such crimes and protect children from predators.
Details of the Crime
The case was registered in April 2025 in the HTM police station area. On April 9, 2025, the accused, identified as Kamal, lured the minor girl and committed unnatural sex with her. He also struck the child with a stone, causing injuries.
Medical Confirmation and Legal Action
The victim was found unconscious and was rushed to a hospital after her condition deteriorated. A medical examination and the doctor's report confirmed sexual abuse. Following this, the police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
