The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) launched a sharp attack on the ruling coalition at the Centre on Friday, amid reports that the government is actively exploring the use of Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft to transport NEET-UG question papers to prevent further leaks. The opposition party alleged that the NEET paper leaks highlight the Narendra Modi government's poor management skills.
RJD's Social Media Salvo
Taking to social media, the RJD lambasted the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). "Modi ji's work capacity, grip on governance, and management skills are so poor that the Army and IAF have to be roped in to conduct a single exam like NEET in the country. Has this ever happened in 70 years?" the RJD questioned, directly challenging the government's administrative competence.
Attack on CM Samrat Choudhary
The opposition party also came down heavily on Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary for his reported remarks that no paper leaks have ever occurred in the state. "The CM says question paper leak means that the question paper has come out! Let the CM explain whether the question paper will come out by walking or by flying," the RJD taunted, adding, "When will his government consider the question paper leaked?"
Recurring Paper Leaks in Bihar
Alleging that question papers are being leaked more frequently, the RJD noted that candidates are being forced to sit for the same examination twice. "Still, there's no guarantee that the question papers won't be leaked next time," it said. Citing recent incidents in Bihar, the RJD pointed out that the 67th BPSC exam was held twice due to a paper leak, and a leak occurred in the AEDO exam very recently. "But the CM claims no paper leaks have taken place in Bihar... It's strange," the party added.
Context and Implications
The Centre's consideration of IAF aircraft for transporting NEET question papers underscores the severity of the paper leak issue, which has plagued major examinations in recent years. The RJD's criticism reflects broader opposition concerns about the government's handling of educational assessments and its impact on student morale. As the political debate intensifies, the focus remains on ensuring the integrity of high-stakes exams like NEET.
