Hisar Police Attach Assets Worth Rs 78 Lakh in Drug Trafficking Cases

Hisar police have intensified their campaign against narcotics under the Haryana government's 'Drug-Free Haryana' initiative by attaching properties and vehicles valued at Rs 78,47,170. These assets were allegedly acquired through proceeds generated from drug trafficking, according to officials.

The action was carried out under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, following detailed financial investigations and profiling conducted in cases registered during the last three months. Police officials stated that investigations revealed several accused had used illegal earnings from drug trafficking to purchase movable assets, primarily vehicles. After verifying documents and completing legal procedures, authorities moved to freeze and attach these assets.

The attached properties include 16 vehicles: four cars, one motor cab, one six-wheeler canter truck, eight motorcycles, and two scooters. The action was taken against multiple individuals involved in drug trafficking.

Police Strategy: Dismantling Economic Infrastructure

Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain said the police campaign was no longer limited to arrests but aimed at dismantling the economic infrastructure supporting drug trafficking networks. He emphasized that law enforcement agencies were closely tracking properties and assets acquired through criminal proceeds.

Jain warned that those involved in drug trafficking would face action not only against their liberty but also against their illegally acquired wealth. The police appealed to citizens to share information regarding drug trafficking or suspicious activities, assuring complete confidentiality for informants.
