A devastating incident unfolded on Saturday in the Hansi district of Hisar, Haryana, when a woman and her two young daughters were struck by a train on the Sirsa–Delhi railway line. The accident occurred between the Ramayan and Mayyar railway stations, resulting in immediate fatalities and severe injuries.

The woman, identified as 35-year-old Nirmala, a resident of Bhagana village, and her 6-year-old daughter, Nikita, tragically lost their lives at the scene. The other child, 3-and-a-half-year-old Preeti, sustained serious injuries and was initially rushed to Hansi General Hospital. Due to her critical condition, she was later referred to Hisar Civil Hospital for advanced medical treatment.

According to police reports, the incident came to light when a passer-by noticed a woman and two children lying unconscious near the railway track and promptly informed the authorities. Police teams swiftly arrived at the spot, confirming the deaths of Nirmala and one child, while finding the other girl alive but severely injured.

Nirmala's husband, Narender, is a farmer who was not at home at the time she reportedly left the house with their daughters. The couple has four daughters in total. Police sources have indicated that preliminary information suggests Nirmala may have been distressed over not having a son, though this aspect is currently being verified as part of the ongoing investigation.
