In a brutal incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a woman in Jharkhand's Giridih district was subjected to a horrific attack after she resisted an attempt to molest her. The assailants poured hot cooking oil on her, causing severe injuries.
The Gruesome Attack in Ledha Village
The incident took place on Sunday in Ledha village. According to the victim's statement, she was frying snacks at her shop when two men from a neighbouring village arrived and began to harass her. When she bravely resisted their attempt to molest her, the situation turned violent. In a cruel act of retaliation, the duo poured boiling oil over her before fleeing the scene.
Police Action and Arrests
Local residents immediately rushed the severely injured woman to the Sadar Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Officer in-charge of Mufassil police station, Shyam Kishore Mahto, confirmed that an FIR has been registered in the case. One of the accused, Uday Choudhary, has been arrested. Police are actively conducting raids to apprehend the second accused, identified as Manish Choudhary.

The attack has sparked outrage among villagers and local leaders. Former village mukhiya, Rajesh Verma, highlighted the accused men's troubling background, stating, "The men have a history of misconduct and strict action must be taken against them."
