Kanpur witnessed a violent clash between two groups late Friday night at Nandlal Chauraha in the Govind Nagar police station area, where inebriated youths engaged in stone-pelting, shattering window panes of several cars and triggering panic among passersby. The incident occurred around midnight, with the stone-pelting lasting for approximately 15 minutes.
Chaos and Fear on the Streets
During the stone-pelting, passersby found themselves caught in the crossfire. Many managed to escape by driving their vehicles on the wrong side of the road to avoid the flying stones. Motorcyclists and shopkeepers sought refuge in nearby lanes and shops to protect themselves.
