Junagadh Labourer Alleges Neighbour Kidnapped and Assaulted Him for Black Magic Ritual
A 45-year-old labourer from Junagadh city has filed a police complaint against his neighbour. He accuses the man of kidnapping and assaulting him to perform black magic. The Junagadh City A Division police have registered the case.
Complaint Details a Harrowing Ordeal
The complainant, Haresh Parmar, lives on Datar Road in Junagadh. He told police that his neighbour, Sagar Chauhan, arrived at his house on a two-wheeler on January 13. Chauhan claimed a ritual needed to be performed for his father and asked Parmar to accompany him.
Parmar agreed. However, Chauhan did not take him home. Instead, he diverted to a secluded location. When Parmar questioned this change, Chauhan allegedly threatened him with a knife. He warned Parmar not to resist.
Alleged Assault and Ritualistic Violence
According to the complaint, Chauhan then forced Parmar to inhale a substance. This caused Parmar to lose consciousness. He later woke up to find himself in a terrifying situation.
He was tied with ropes and half-naked behind a health centre. He had injuries on his hands and back. Parmar alleged that Chauhan burned his private parts with a hot object. The accused also pulled out his hair and repeatedly assaulted him.
The injured labourer was later admitted to Junagadh Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Police Inspector Vatsal Savaj confirmed the arrest of Sagar Chauhan. He said preliminary investigation points to a ritualistic motive for the crime.
"We are probing the motive behind the act," Savaj stated. "We are also investigating whether the accused has targeted others in a similar manner earlier."
Police have booked Chauhan under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The charges include Sections 140(3), 123, 351(3), and 115(2).
The case has shocked the local community in Junagadh. It highlights concerns about superstitious practices leading to violent crime. Authorities continue their investigation into this disturbing incident.
