Bengaluru: Sathish KR, also known as Sathish Kadatanamale, a political party functionary from Yelahanka constituency, has been accused of storming a government office and assaulting staff members. The incident took place at Sahakara Soudha in Malleswaram, where officials alleged that the accused, along with his associates, disrupted official work and created panic.

Complaint and Details

According to a complaint filed by R Prakash Rao, 55, an officer at the office, Sathish—who is a disqualified director of the Kadanamale Milk Producers Cooperative Society—allegedly entered the premises on April 24 around 3pm. The group was reportedly linked to a statutory order passed under Section 29(c) of the Karnataka Cooperative Societies Act-1959. They are accused of obstructing official work, physically attacking staff, and using derogatory language.

Threats and Disruption

Rao stated that upon arriving at the office around 4pm, he was informed of the chaos. When he confronted Sathish, the latter allegedly used threatening language, warning that he would have the officer removed from service, file a complaint with the Lokayukta, and even send him to jail. The incident reportedly continued for nearly two hours, disrupting government operations and creating panic among staff. Officials have claimed that the actions not only hindered their duties but also brought disrepute to the office.

Legal Action

A case has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and a notice has been served to Sathish. Further investigation is underway.
