An MBBS intern currently undertaking his training at the prestigious King George's Medical University (KGMU) has been formally accused by a young woman of sexual misconduct and threats.
Details of the Police Complaint
The victim, a nursing aspirant residing in PG accommodation in Aliganj, Lucknow, has lodged a formal First Information Report (FIR) at the Kaiserbagh Police Station. In her complaint, she alleges that the accused doctor, whose identity is being withheld, developed a friendship with her, gained her trust, and initiated a romantic relationship.
She stated that the intern lured her to his flat in the Kaiserbagh area under the pretext of marriage. It was there, according to the FIR, that he sexually exploited her. The situation escalated when the woman later pressed him about fulfilling his promise of marriage.
Threats and Police Action
Upon being confronted about marriage, the accused doctor reportedly refused and resorted to verbal abuse. The complaint details a deeply alarming turn of events: the intern allegedly threatened to circulate obscene pictures of the victim on social media platforms if she continued to pressure him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Vishwajeet Srivastava, confirmed the registration of the FIR. He provided key details about the accused, noting that the intern is originally from Bareilly. Police authorities are actively working to trace his complete residential details in Lucknow as part of their investigation.
