A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Shimla for allegedly pelting a schoolgirl with stones in the Dhalli area. The incident, which took place on Wednesday morning, caused outrage among locals and prompted immediate police intervention.

The victim, a minor student of a local school, was on her way to school when the accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Dhalli, allegedly threw stones at her. The girl sustained minor injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was later discharged after receiving first aid.

Upon receiving a complaint from the girl's family, the Shimla police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and arrested the accused. Superintendent of Police Shimla, Mohit Chawla, confirmed the arrest and said that strict action would be taken against the perpetrator.
