In a shocking incident that has raised grave concerns about women's safety, the Jaipur (Rural) police have arrested a 29-year-old man for the alleged rape of an 83-year-old woman in a village under the Manoharpur police station limits. The arrest was made on Wednesday night, two days after the crime was first reported.

The accused has been identified as Lokesh Jawa, also known as Loku, a resident of Bishangarh. According to officials, the survivor's son filed a First Information Report (FIR) on Monday evening. He stated that his elderly mother had stepped out of their house to use a washroom nearby when an unknown man, with his face covered, dragged her to a deserted spot, assaulted her, and fled the scene.
Following the registration of a case against unknown persons, multiple police teams were formed to track down the perpetrator. Their investigation led to the arrest of Lokesh Jawa within 48 hours. Police revealed that the accused was working as a cleaner in the local area, and this connection is being closely examined as part of the ongoing probe.
