A significant fire broke out at a vehicle-holding facility belonging to Shriram Automall in Patancheru on Monday morning, resulting in the destruction of several vehicles parked on the premises. Officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

Fire Erupts Early Morning

According to fire department officials, the blaze suddenly erupted at the godown. Upon receiving a distress call around 4:30 am, two fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the spot, and firefighters launched operations to bring the flames under control.

Details of Damage

Sangareddy district fire officer (DFO), Nageshwar Rao, stated that multiple vehicles were damaged in the fire. “Several vehicles parked inside the open warehouse were gutted in the blaze. Around six heavy vehicles and 15 to 20 other vehicles were burnt. Fortunately, nobody was inside the premises at the time of the incident,” he said.

Investigation Underway

Officials mentioned that the exact extent of property loss is still being assessed, though the damage is estimated to run into lakhs of rupees. Preliminary investigations suggest that careless smoking may have triggered the fire, while police are also examining the possibility of a short circuit. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
