The naked body of a man was recovered hours after his abduction in Jharkhand's Palamu district, police said on Sunday. The incident took place in the Chhatarpur police station area, where the victim was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified assailants late on Saturday night. His body was found in a nearby forest on Sunday morning, with multiple injury marks.

According to police, the victim, identified as 35-year-old Ramesh Singh, was a resident of a nearby village. He was abducted from his home by a group of armed men around 10 pm. The family immediately filed a complaint, and a search operation was launched. The body was discovered around 6 am, stripped naked and bearing signs of severe assault. Preliminary investigations suggest a possible rivalry, but no arrests have been made yet.

Superintendent of Police, Palamu, Ashwini Kumar Sinha, stated that forensic teams have been deployed to collect evidence. “We are examining all angles, including personal enmity and criminal rivalry.
