Investigators determined the killers dumped the body at a plot owned by Chandrakant Nalawade. This location sits near Sanaswadi village along the scenic Tamhini ghat route. The assailants fled the scene using the victim's own multi-utility vehicle.

Police utilized technical expertise to track the MUV used in the crime. Their investigation revealed all individuals involved originally hailed from Pune. The group had embarked on a weekend picnic trip to Mahabaleshwar when tragedy struck.
During their journey, a heated argument erupted among the travelers. The dispute centered on financial contributions for a property investment. One of the accused planned to purchase this property and expected financial support from others.
Authorities believe alcohol consumption likely escalated the confrontation. What began as a verbal spat turned violently fatal. Three individuals ultimately attacked and killed their companion during this altercation.
Victim Identified, Two Suspects in Custody
Through coordination with Pune police, investigators identified the deceased. He was Aditya Ganesh Bhagat, a 22-year-old resident of Pune. Police have arrested two suspects in connection with this horrific crime.
The apprehended individuals are Aniket Waghmare, aged 26, and Tushar Patole, aged 24. Authorities continue searching for the third suspect, Prajwal Hambir, who remains at large. Police describe Hambir as the key accused in this murder case.
