The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken suo motu cognizance of an alleged child sexual exploitation case at a Capgemini daycare facility in Bengaluru, where videos of abuse were circulated on Instagram.

Incident Details

According to a report by BBC Eye, Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM) was circulating through Instagram, leading to the NCPCR's intervention. The Commission confirmed this via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on July 3, 2026, stating it is following up the case closely.

Police have arrested two women who were working as caretakers at the facility. The videos were sent to the Child Welfare Department through WhatsApp, prompting immediate action.

Official Response

The NCPCR tagged the Prime Minister's Office, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, and the Ministry of Women and Child Development in its post, urging a thorough investigation. The Commission stated it is monitoring the case closely.

Capgemini has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident. The Bengaluru police are investigating further.
