A 20-year-old NEET aspirant, identified as Jatin, was found dead at his residence in Ghaziabad on Friday morning, police said. Preliminary investigations suggest suicide, and authorities are scrutinizing a video clip recovered from the scene.
Incident Details
According to family members, Jatin was studying in his room until late Thursday night. When relatives went to wake him on Friday morning, they discovered his body and immediately alerted the police. No suicide note was found at the spot.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and are questioning family members and neighbors to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death. The recovered video clip is being examined to determine if it contains any clues about his mental state or possible reasons for the act.
Ongoing Investigation
Circle Officer (CO) Ghaziabad, Rajesh Kumar, stated, “We are investigating all angles. The video clip is under forensic analysis. The family has been cooperative, and we are awaiting the post-mortem report to confirm the cause of death.”
Jatin had been preparing for the NEET exam for the past two years and was reportedly under significant academic pressure. Friends and relatives described him as a dedicated student who rarely discussed his stress.
